Graffiti and Electric Cars in Denver, Colorado

We just got this awesome photo in from Bimmer Torres and the 2Kool crew in Denver, Colorado who spraypainted 350.org on the side of an electric car powered by solar panels:

2Kool  is the perfect example of how art and community organizing can go hand-in-hand. Here's a description of the group from their website:

We create and host workshops for urban youth and the community by showing them that graffiti is an art form and how it can be used in a positive way. We also offer the opportunity for people to connect with each other in a comfortable community setting.

We are the founders of the West High School Mural Club which is an organization of youth young artists, and together we create beautiful murals that repel vandalism and create unity through art. We have also have been featured in many other community newspapers.

Their mission statement reads:

Collectively we are a powerful group of motivated young people with diverse skills, knowledge, and experience. We are motivated and committed to being creating change in our community. Together, with our efforts we can make Denver a safer and healthier environment for all. We collaborate with the community to help repel vandalism while beautifying walls in Denver with inspirational murals.

Huge thanks to 2Kool and all the artists who are getting involved in the 350 EARTH project. It's just a couple days until our signature art pieces start taking place across the planet, but the level of creativity, commitment and vision that y'all are already bringing to the project is phenomenal.
