Join us in celebrating eARTh by taking part in a massive art piece that will be photographed from a satellite on Saturday, 27 November. We will come together in Cape Town to create an aerial image of the sun conceptualized by The Canary Project. The piece centers around a traditional lunch cooked at the site on parabolic solar cookers generously provided by South Africa¹s Sunfire Solutions. The highly reflective solar cookers and participants seated along streaming cloth rays will form a unique composition of the sun to be photographed by satellite. After the art piece is complete, the solar cookers will be donated to schools in the local community where they will be used by trained staff for high volume solar cooking.
